Hello,

James, Chris and I spent a loooooong night in the music studio! But, the good news is we have completed the music for Stephen’s elephant painting. I have to say – it is really great. Last night we added in a section where a mother elephant talks to her baby. Then, Chris created this amazing section with French horns. I keep listening to it over and over. This will add to the emotional connection between audience and elephant. We are striving for music that helps the viewer connect emotionally with each of the Wild Faces Stephen paints. Anyway, here it is. I hope you like it and you must come down to the zoo and listen to it played with the show. Oh, and there is a surprise at the very end! Special Zoo hours: 9 a.m.–8 p.m. (stay on grounds until 9 p.m.)

The San Diego Zoo’s Nighttime Zoo bursts with Spanish fiesta-style excitement this summer celebrating the ancient Americas in the all new Fiesta De Las Caras festival occurring each evening at the Zoo.

Greetings animal lovers everywhere! I am happy to introduce you to a new experience called Splash! Faces of the Wild appearing “live” at the World Famous San Diego Zoo this summer.

Faces of the Wild is a show created by the producing team of Blue Ink Syndicate premiering at the San Diego Zoo June 23, 2007. Splash – Faces of the Wild (Caras Silvestres) is a jaw-dropping unique entertainment experience where nature comes to life on canvas with an extraordinary combination of movement, music, and live interaction. Stephen Fishwick creates fun, spectacular performances and delivers two beautiful animal faces on canvas during each 30-minute Splash! Show. Shows are at 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 p.m. daily. Stephen Fishwick is co-producer of Splash! And well-known Southern California fine artist.

Good Morning San Diego,

We teased San Diego early birds with with an outdoor “streetside” performance of Splash! Faces of the Wild on the live morning news. Our spot played at about 6:10 a.m. James, Stephen and I along with our trusty production lead Jesse headed down to the KNSD outdoor studio and set up our easel and tarps next to Horton Plaza. It was a fun spot with Stephen going crazy on his now famous “Tiger” painting while I chatted with Artie Ojeda.
